I just had to do another Citra IPA. The last one was started from someone’s clone of Epic’s pale ale but I swapped out the hops for all Citra hops. This time I made a basic base, chose 300 grams as the hop bill, and went from there.
Notes
6/7 Brew went well – need to adjust my losses to get closer to design numbers. It tasted very nice.
Tasting Notes
Unfortunately the priming solution cannot have mixed well (the crash chill before bottling cleared the beer up nicely, but probably was the cause of the mix not mixing). I had noticed a pool of clear liquid at the bottom of the bottling bucket so knew I was going to have problems. We started drinking the last bottles filled first and early before they over carbonated. The others had almost no carbonation. Still tasted good and worth repeating.
